Sonesta Select Boston Milford

Clean, remodeled, friendly staff, good value. Nice lobby, pleasant decor. Rooms have all the standard amenities (some usb outlets would be nice) with a nice modern feel. Fitness room adequate for a descent workout. Stayed for a night in a pinch.

This hotel is straight out of a horror movie, there is permanent residents all on the first floor (not disclosed when booking) there was mold in the bathrooms, stains on the furniture including our blankets. We were traveling for a soccer tournament and should have left the moment we saw the room but hotels in the area were full. I am hoping I can post pictures to this review to give some context to how bad it is! I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again even if it was free!!! But almost $200 a night is unacceptable, not to mention it was $6 for a small chocolate milk for my daughter. Lastly the staff was not friendly, one man yelled at us because he didn’t approve of a child’s behavior(yes it was corrected and yes the child was wrong) but remaining professional is essential. Positive: The staff person that greeted me at 3:00 am in the morning was nice and pleasant. Negative: Room 343 has a strong sewage odor—it smells like dirty barge waste. It's not acceptable. I inspected the sheets and bedding for bugs. The sheet had a hole in it and the mattress was encased in a mattress protector that was zipped up.

Based on my stay the staff was not helpful at all. And when it came to the location it was not at all what is advertised and to add my dissatisfaction we were charged a clean up fee and accused of smoking when we do not smoke. We were actually charged 250 dollars with no phone call after leaving. After normal full trash cans and never being asked if we wanted room service there was no damage and I believe they charged this money fraudulently. I hope you read this and be aware. And an update to my first post today feb 26 2026. I did ask my bank to return the fraudulent 250 dollars you and your manager charged me back when I found out by seeing the charges were more than double. Well today you refused the refund which what I thought was refunded 2 months ago put my account in the negativ

We booked this hotel for our wedding in 2024, for our October 2025 wedding, about a month before we were informed the hotel had been sold. We made the effort to contact and speak with the new managers and were assured everything was the same and would be fine. We were lied to, immediately we had peoples rooms given away, the prices were completely different and the staff was not ready for a large group. WE went 2 days with no hot water, the rooms were dirty and it was a terrible experience for our wedding party and guests. It is november and the hotel is double charging our guests months later and calling them to claim they have not paid their bills. I am so upset with our experience it truly ruined the hotel part of our wedding.
