Sonesta Essential Atlantic City West

Stayed recently at this hotel...like other reviewers said, good location clean hotel, friendly staff, especially the lady who checked me in, Samantha..very helpful, and great in what she do. She deserves a shout out, and recognition from the manager. 2 downsides are musty smell when you enter the room, the TV channel line ups are only free version.Overall, would definitely come back, and highly recommend this place .

Corporate, let me tell y’all something Giovanni was AMAZING and OUTSTANDING. I hope this is a company that realizes when an employee is a valuable asset! He will take this company so far. Customer service was amazing, rooms were great, and he was very helpful and informative. Check in was also quick and easy! Will definitely be returning and after my stay i’ve also referred people here!

Positive: The price and location. Also the room was super clean, felt safe, and the hotel clerk was really helpful and kind. Negative: The water pressure in the shower was nonexistent. I didn’t even wash my hair because I knew i would be in there 30 minutes trying to get the soap out. However, the faucet was like a fire hose? So some adjustments need to be made.

I was very impressed with the overall service and pleasant attitude of the staff. The hotel was clean and recently remodeled. Our room was furnished with a king sized, comfortable bed. I’m very fussy about bedding and pillows. However, I was rewarded with a great nights’ sleep. At the end of our stay, the manager wanted to know how our stay was and if there was anything that could have made it better. Of course we told him that it was very good . It was refreshing that he asked.

It was an okay experience - not good or bad. The room was out dated, had to share 1 microwave and 1 washer/dryer with the entire floor. The bathroom was very outdated, shower head and water pressure were atrocious. Toilet was kinda gross. The worst part was that the sheets stunk. There wasn't even a comforter it was just a loose scratchy sheet. I kept getting a whiff of urine. The so-called free breakfast was bagels, packaged muffins & coffee It was fine for a single night but I won't be returning.
