Sleep Inn State College near Penn State

We only stayed one night because we were visiting University of Pennsylvania. Even before arriving I was texted by Melissa she was just checking in on me before my visit. She was kind and courteous and told me if I needed anything she was just a text away. That set the tone on how my night there would be. The hotel was about 5 minutes to the college. We checked in just before midnight the person who checked us in was great. We were given complimentary bottled water. The room was clean the beds was comfortable. The shower was like a time capsule, but it was one of the best showers we ever had. It's not updated but the water pressure was absolutely amazing. Because of how the shower is shaped it felt so cozy was absolutely amazing. You could definitely lose track of time in there.

Everything was clean and fresh. The breakfast help was cheerful and did a great job with the bacon and eggs. |We did hear a little noise from the room above, but not enough to require a room change. |Great value and super close to campus.|I poan to return in the future.

We came here for a Penn State home game and paid roughly $750 a night for two queens. Absolute disgrace to pay that much for a hotel room, but that is not factoring into this review. Above and beyond the good things about the hotel were the friendly staff and the breakfast. We were very pleasantly surprised on how invested the team members were in our comfort and satisfaction! The room was absolutely not up to standards. See the photos here. There was a lining of dust over the lamp, indicating that it had not been wiped down in a long while. It’s often the small things that get you and looking behind the nightstand was the reason for our rating. We didn’t take photos of the shower and toilet, but there were scum rings on both. Just not worth the money when other places are a similar price

To say this is a 5🌟 hotel would be an understatement! I've stayed at many hotels in the country and internationally. This is one of the cleanest, friendliest, hospitible hotels I've had the pleasure to stay. There was nothing I asked for that wasn't provided. The entire staff went out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. This is the hotel to book if you're in the area- You WILL NOT be disappointed! 🏆 ~Valarie Savage

I stayed at this hotel 11/6-11/9 to take my son on a tour of Penn State and see the football game yesterday. The location is amazing - we were able to walk to the stadium in 20-25 minutes. There is also a pizza/brew pub across from the hotel which is convenient and food was good. They have daily breakfast with rotating items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, coffee, fresh fruit etc. I can’t say enough about the staff - so attentive - polite - just kind people. Lastly - I am very picky about clean rooms - our was extremely clean. They also refresh room while you are out for the day. All the common areas and bathrooms - super clean and neat. I will recommend this hotel to anyone I talk with. Worth every penny. You made this a memorable trip for me and my son. Thank you!
