Carnegie House

We are in the area for a gymnastics competition, my husband found Carnegie House through a search online and I could not be more pleased that he reserved a room here for the night. Everything is impeccable! Beautiful grounds, sophisticated decor, well appointed rooms, the bathroom is amazing and the bed is super comfortable. We also dined this evening in Grace restaurant right in front of the beautiful fireplace. A most amazing stay!

Room was super nice, spotless, beautifully appointed, modern, quiet and comfortable. Service all around was exceptional - friendly, professional, responsive. I had dinner in the restaurant at the inn (Stonhouse Pub/Grace Restaurant) and it was exquisite. I absolutely loved the authentic Italian dishes that complemented a nice selection of traditional items such as steak and seafood. I'm Italian and ordered the carbonara, which was true to the Italian recipe - guanciale, egg, cheese. The pasta was certainly hand-made and was perfectly cooked - al dente. (I understand an Italian chef from the sister property in Lucca, Italy introduced these items. Fantastic!!) Great hotel and restaurant with excellent service and attention to detail. Thank you!

I love treating myself to a staycation at Carnegie House because it reminds me of being at a hotel in a large metro city. The vibe and decor are nothing like I have seen in Centre County. I never want to leave my room! If you are a content creator -- every detail is INSTAGRAM worthy. (But resist and be present.) Enjoy this unique hotel and it's rural hospitality.

I have 3 words- Abigail, Alanna, & Bill. Visiting Penn state and Bellafonte from NYC, and I cannot say enough about the staff here. Aside from the rooms being absolutely stunning and meticulously clean (they look exactly like all the pictures you see on their page, which is rare nowadays), Everyone is so welcoming and more than hospitable. From a room request I made before arriving, to check in and dinner at the on-site restaurant/bar, to the overnight front desk- everything was spot on. We couldn’t ask for more; everyone here has gone above and beyond. Hopefully my niece will be attending Penn State. If so, we have found our spot!!
