Sleep Inn North Charleston Ashley Phosphate

It did the job for the week I was there but I absolutely would have switched to another place if I could get a refund. They are not willing to refund regardless of any issue you have. The lobby smells like they were trying to cover up a scent and the hallways were awful. A mixture of cigarettes, weed and filthy carpets. Thankfully the room smelled fine. The bed wasn't too terribly hard but the pillows were limp with no support whatsoever, which is bad for someone like me who gets acid reflux and needs to sleep laying up. Just basic cable TV. I only chose this place because I needed a cheap place. So I guess it was good enough for the price.

We drove from St. Louis all the way to Wilmington, North Carolina and back via the southern route, going through Cleveland, Tennessee. We stayed in five different hotels, and out of all of them the sleep in in Charleston, West Virginia was my most favorite. Check in was easy, the hotel was busy, but everyone was friendly. We had so much fun in Charleston the first day that we asked to extend our reservation to a second day, which was done with absolutely no problem. Out of all the hotels we stayed in the staff at the Sleep Inn was the most friendly. I have read another review that mentioned that out of all the hotels this is one of the most safe because of the area it’s in. It’s kind of funny because it seems like you’re driving out of the area, and this hotel is kind of out in the sticks

2 main reasons... The shower pressure was abysmal... non-existent... I've had better showers sitting under a tree and having birds crapping on me. And the "breakfast" offerings were minimal at best. (I was especially surprised at the lack of fresh fruit offerings. Even bananas are very cheap but none were available. ) The room was fairly clean, a plus.

Desk staff was very welcoming. Nice breakfast. Need more fruit but, nice. Room was clean, hallways clean and room was clean. Parking was very convenient and the hotel is centrally located for our event.

The room is decent(could be upgraded/ not as nice as the west ashley location). The breakfast has a variety of options. The internet works perfectly.
