My stay at SIRTAJ Beverly Hills was nothing like what is advertised online. The room had no window and was barely large enough to fit the bed. It felt claustrophobic — almost like a prison cell. The smell was overwhelming, similar to chemicals or a medicine manufacturing facility. The walls were so thin I could hear every footstep and even water running next door. Parking is $40 per day across the street, and exiting was a complete ordeal. The gate appeared closed with no clear exit. I had to call the hotel, navigate through closed businesses in the building, and walk two blocks around the property just to reach the hotel. Completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. When I raised concerns, management was unavailable and the front desk response was, “What do you want from me
I will start with the positive as the location was superb. It was convenient to pretty much everything Beverly Hills that was walkable. The initial check in was ok. I wanted to split the costs with 2 cards and they looked at me like I had 3 heads. Ok, nevermind, I will put it all on one. Next, parking... you would have thought I was going through drills in high-school. But I finally got the key card to park. WARNING... FLAT RATE ACROSS THE STREET IS $30 PER DAY, THE HOTEL CHARGED ME $40 PER DAY! The room itself was ok, but the halls were overwhelming smelly with whatever their deoderizer was... it was suffocating and awful. And no coffee in the room. But the desk was quick to offer to make you a cup for $6. No thanks! No micro in the rooms. The fridge barely worked. Overall, I would not
BEWARE. Customer service is terrible. |Local Californian needing to visit for one night to see a doctor in the area. I booked for a Monday, but less than a minute after I booked I realized I booked the wrong week. I immediately contacted Expedia to help and they called the hotel manager and I also called the hotel manager. She said she would think about it but never call either Expedia nor I back. Charged me for the night I was not there. |If they will treat locals like this, I can't imaging how they would treat out of state guest.
The Sirtaj is a hidden gem Beverly Hills. It is great value for money in a very expensive hotel locale. For a brief BH visit and a cozy getaway, it is the best option in the 90210. A true boutique vibe. Easy and smooth check in at reception. Rooms are small but still very comfortable and makes a great base for exploring central Beverly Hills. Easy walking to Wilshire, Rodeo and all of the BH hotspots. Not a lot in the way of amenities, but as there is no shortage of restaurants, shops, etc. within easy walking distance, you won't miss a thing - especially given the very attractive price of the hotel. Don't recall the young lady's name at the front desk during the late evening, but she was very helpful with getting our tea and coffee. Thank you!
We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and were unfortunately very disappointed, as we had no hot water in the shower during our entire stay. We reported the issue to an employee on the first day, but were told that nothing could be done and that “the water just isn’t warm enough for you,” even though I showed that the sink water was perfectly hot. They offered to change our room but mentioned, “we’re not sure if there’s hot water in the other rooms,” which made the suggestion rather pointless. We were told the manager would be informed, but we never received any follow-up. Additionally, for a 4-star hotel without breakfast included, I would expect at least a coffee machine in the room, rather than having to pay $6 for a hot chocolate. At the end of our stay, another employee asked how everyt
