Shutters on the Beach

Absolutely our favorite vacation spot! We so enjoyed our stay at Shutters on the Beach. It is top notch. All of the staff is courteous and friendly. They will remember who you are and they take very good care of you. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and spacious. A big thank you to Jonathan the concierge who was full of knowledge and so very helpful. Mark the bellman was also very helpful. If you are looking for somewhere to go in the Santa Monica area be sure to visit Shutters on the Beach and their restaurants and bars. You will not be disappointed.

Outstanding! I finished a bike ride along Route 66 so it was great to walk 1/2mile to Shutters. There are plenty of food options in the area but the hotel restaurant serves light appetizers and drinks in the lobby (in addition to regular service). The front desk staff was so sweet. I needed to shower after I finished my ride but my husband hadn't arrived yet so they let me use the spa showers. The pool is heated which was great for the kids. It was exceptional to be so close to the beach, we were able to wander and play in the morning before any one else was there. Rooms had all the necessities and were comfortable and quiet. I'd definitely stay there anytime I'm in the area!

Positive: The location, the front desk staff and valet. The jacuzzi in the room and all the amenities. Negative: The 2 day cleaning rule for the hotel stay unless you put a “card” on your bed and press the cleaning icon on your room door. And with me I never had a cleaning service when I requested it when they did clean the room I didn’t need it.

Perfect location, right on the beach. Studio king had pull out couch for our two kids. Big room and bathroom. 5 minute walk to the pier and 15 minute walk to 3rd St Promenade. Hotel staff were professional, kind, and went out of their way to make our stay special. Huge shout out to Hakeem at check in, and Sergio (hotel car driver). If you travel 3 miles or less, hotel offers free rides and if you’re lucky, Sergio will be your driver who will serenade you (upon request) with opera! Hotel restaurants are great and free drink tickets were appreciated. Can’t wait to return!

This is our 2nd time staying here, the 1st was two years ago and usually we don’t like returning to properties… but needless to say we will be back again! |We arrived at the hotel at around 5.45am from an early overnight flight from Kauai.. we were shattered so we were thrilled to arrive and get checked in swiftly by Liz on the desk who switched some things around and got us into a room.. the room was gorgeous, tastefully decorated and furnished like we remembered.. |The lobby has been redecorated and is even more stunning than before. |The pool area is immaculate with a bar, hot tub and lots of sun beds.. |We had breakfast and lunch at Coast -both delicious.. |We had a drink in the bar before and after we went out for a local dinner which was lovely listening to the chilled live music
