Amazing stay – true hospitality I recently stayed at Bayside Hotel and had a truly great experience. From the moment we arrived, Chris Giles made us feel welcome—not just like a guest, but like family. He explained everything with genuine care, almost like an uncle giving advice. He showed us which areas of the city are best to visit, how to avoid parking fines, and shared helpful local tips that made our stay smooth and stress-free. Chris personally showed us the room and explained everything clearly, like a teacher who truly cares. That kind of hospitality is rare and unforgettable. Visited a friend for the holidays. The noise coming from this hotel at all hours of the night was simply a nightmare! My friend said this was common-practice for them and they're seriously considering moving solely because of the noise from this hotel. I don't know how the hotel guests survive being that the noise is coming from FROM THE HOTEL!! 0/5 - DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The location of the hotel is fantastic—just a 5-minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier and 2 minutes to the beach. There's also a Starbucks only 5 minutes away. The shared balcony offers a stunning view of the beach and the promenade, which was one of the highlights of our stay.The building itself is two stories, and while the rooms were clean, they were quite small. The beds were also small, despite the description stating that the room could accommodate up to four people and that the bed was double-sized. Unfortunately, the bed was too small, and one of us had to sleep on the floor.The price was very high, but I assume that’s because of the prime location. This hotel is in a beautiful and convenient location right near the pier. I could see the beach from my room and watched a girl's sunset. My room had a complete kitchen which was really convenient. All of the rooms are behind key card operated gated doors providing great security to all of the guests. I will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our one night stay here at the hotel. Robert was very helpful and allowed us to store our bags at the hotel prior to our flight. Another gentleman in the office helped us weigh our bags. Staff wonderful ! Room was very clean and one block from the beach, & we could see the ocean from our room. The area and hotel is very quiet with the exception of…only thing that was somewhat negative is we were on the first floor and could hear people walking above us at night and earlier in the morning so I would recommend top four if available.
