Regent Santa Monica Beach

We stayed for Christmas at the Regent Santa Monica Beach with my wife and our two children (12 and 14 years old), and it was without any doubt the best five-star hotel experience we have ever had. The property is widely described as one of the most refined luxury hotels in Santa Monica, and this is immediately evident. The hotel is modern, elegant, and impeccably designed, with a strong focus on comfort, materials, and details. Its location is absolutely perfect: directly across from the beach, steps from the Santa Monica Pier, close to Santa Monica Place, Third Street Promenade, and with easy access to the main roads toward Los Angeles. This is without a doubt the nicest hotel experience I've ever had. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Everything from the check-in experience to the servers at the restaurant and bar are top notch. Even the basic king room is massive, clean, and extremely comfortable. I've gotten some of the best nights' sleep that I can remember. The location is great if you enjoy the touristy area of Santa Monica, but is also so steps from the beach. Waking up and immediately taking a walk on the beach is such a relaxing and refreshing thing to do. The touristy riffraff of Santa Monica is thankfully not inside the hotel. It is refined, detailed, and considerate. I will remember my stay here for years to come!

A stunning renovation of this beachfront property. We are a family of 5 and comfortably stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The room furnishings are beautiful and the bedding super lux. The staff at this hotel are all very friendly and entertaining, many of them have worked through the renovation and all genuinely love the new management. I enjoyed my morning coffee from Sweet July Cafe each morning, quite a good standard for an American coffee!! The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was also fantastic and overlooked the beautiful Santa Monica Beach. Our favourite highlight of the hotel was sitting by the firepit each night overlooking the lights of Santa Monica Pier and reflecting on our day. Overall an excellent hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Formerly a Loews, the hotel underwent an extensive year-and-a-half transformation—reducing the room count by half and expanding every space so that nearly all accommodations now feel like true suites.||The moment you enter, the hotel feels bright, elegant, and grand. A towering, statuesque Christmas tree greeted me during check-in, adding warmth and festive charm. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the quality linens and the range of pillows available. The bathroom was modern with a powerful shower and plenty of toiletries. The only minor downside was the view – I had a room overlooking the parking lot, but that didn’t detract from the overall comfort of the stay.
