Customer Reviews
My stay was very nice at this hotel. The beds are very comfy, and the pillows as well. The rooms are large, with a great view of the lake. Located right on the lake, close to music venues. Reasonably priced and clean. The only thing that could have made my stay better would have been a larger, more sophisticated menu at the restaurant.
Staying at the Shoreline Hotel felt less like checking into a hotel and more like stepping into a time capsule — unfortunately, not the charming kind.||The building and rooms are unbelievably old. Not “classic” old, not “vintage” old, but “has anything been updated this century?” old. Cleanliness was another surprise: unpleasant smells, questionable hygiene, and an overall feeling that housekeeping may also be part of the historical experience.||Our booking clearly included breakfast. However, upon arrival, the hotel simply refused to provide it. No explanation, no solution — just a firm “no,” which was impressive in its simplicity.||We then asked for a power adapter. As an international chain hotel, one might assume this would be a basic item. Instead, we were offered heartfelt apologies
We stayed here 20 years ago, shortly after it opened, and again this weekend. It hasn't changed a bit, and has been well-maintained. Staff are very friendly, bed is perfectly comfortable. They have an in-house restaurant, and an adjacent restaurant as well. Muskegon has also really built up, so many restaurants to choose from.
We had the most wonderful experience visiting the Shoreline Inn. Our corner room was incredible. The shower was modern and the best I've seen in any hotel. The hotel was well staffed and extremely clean. The pool area was gorgeous. The 50s touches throughout the hotel added to its charm. I've already made plans to return!!
I come here every year as my Christmas gift to me. The African American manager made my night for my room. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. The view was obscured by dense fog but went to spa area. Hot tub was very warm as it should be.My 91year Mom really enjoyed it as well!! We slept well, comfy and warm. Muskegon Lake was in full view and lovely!! Check out was swift and off we went. I want to add that you can walk to many restaurants and bars. Western Ave is well lit and has a drinking fair area district drinking. There is also a Fraunthal Theater & Hilt Building with a variety of events and interesting things to do.We have a retired ship LST 393 museum. Many items from wars. A touching Viet Nam exhibit is there also.
