Shore Stay Suites

Overall, this place is fine if you only a need a place to sleep for a night or two. Upon arrival the staff was super friendly. Our room was really spacious and I was surprised to see the full size kitchen. Unfortunately, the room had a weird smell and there were flies and stink bugs inside. Definitely not the cleanest space, but like I said - not a huge deal since I was only there for one night. The heat worked great and the bed was pretty comfortable.

I have previously stayed at this hotel and it was OK. Now, it's a dump. I paid almost $250 for a one night stay and the room was awful. The stove was filthy, the toaster had crumbs from who knows when and there was a dead bug behind it. The mattress was very low. After further inspection, we realized that the bed had a mattress on top of a board! No box spring, a white board. Also, the tub is high, and there is nothing to hold on to. So beware. In addition, the tub is slippery. The bathroom sink drain is very slow. All this explains the no refund policy if you check out early. The owner knows the place is a dump. You've been warned.

This hotel was literally a port in a storm for us. We arrived in the area with our camper late at night in the middle of a storm. The wind was so high that we couldn't put up our camper so we went looking for a hotel. The owner was super nice and got us checked in quickly. The room was large and very clean. This room would be perfect for a family. Two large queen beds, a big table, and everything you need to prepare meals.

We love Shore Stay Suites and have stayed there multiple times. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. Owners and staff are very polite and friendly. Location is perfect- only a few minutes from Chesapeake Bay Bridge or “downtown” Cape Charles shopping area.

This was a great place to stay while in Cape Charles. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, and pet friendly. It is a quick 10 minutes from the beach. The room had table, chairs, full fridge, stove, sink, and microwave. We hope to return soon!
