Shilo Inns Idaho Falls

Positive: It's a very good price. I appreciate there being a iron in the room. The bed was comfortable. Negative: The heater in the room was very obnoxious. The bathroom, was far from clean. A white film in the tub/shower. It could have been cleaner. There was no blanket of any sort on the bed. Just strange coverlet across the bed, but it wasn't warm, in the least

The hotel is greatly outdated and in need of refurbishing. Our room was a large and nice layout but very worn and actually filthy if you look beyond the basics. Running a wipe across the top of the headboard provided a black layer of yuck. You could see where little spiders were living along the ceiling edge. Breakfast is made to order and the staff is friendly. The river view is gorgeous.

We had a pleasant check-in experience, and the young man working the night shift was fantastic. However, after our stay, as a courtesy to the cleaning staff, we stripped the bedding as we always do and discovered a large, dried body fluid stain on the sheet where we had slept for two nights. We simply brought this to the attention of the front desk staff. The man who assisted us—who mentioned he was the manager—showed absolutely no concern. He simply said, "Sorry, they must have missed it," and shrugged off the whole situation. He then quickly asked for my room number. Only later did I realize he was closing out my reservation, which made it more difficult for me to seek any form of compensation. It would appear that Shilo Inn in Idaho Falls is the chosen stopover enroute from High River Alberta to South of Bombay Beach. We were greeted with courtesy enjoyed a clean room and appeared next morning for breakfast. This was our second time at Shilo Inns and were greeted by Marla in the dining room. Of noted surprise she greeted my wife and I with" Merry Christmas, Sir, You are back for another bowl of porridge" What a memory and a gem of an employee who remembers my likes after a year had passed. Marla we will be back in January 2027 "Happy New Year"

The location is convenient, near other hotels and a couple restaurants. There is no room service. They don't come make your bed or bring you fresh towels. The rooms are dark and outdated. There were spider webs in the corner of the ceiling. It is just somewhat rundown and isn't kept up very well.
