Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

My husband and I came for a wedding and stayed 3 nights.. Checked in by Ms Revela who is such a super sweet lady and offered if we wanted to upgrade for a view of either French Quarter or the River. We did and was not disappointed. Revela gave us so much helpful information on places to eat and more. On our 2nd day Henry came to our door who was so nice and friendly and dropped off a little package from Ms Revela. I have to say, in all our travel we have never been thought of by staff after the fact and this small gesture was was so heart warming for us. The location of the Sheraton was in a perfect location for us. About 3 blocks away from Bourbon street, 6 minutes from our wedding ceremony, 13 minutes from Riverwalk outlefs, Cesar’s casino. The hotel is in great location with an excellent view. The room had a mold & mildew smell that was horrible. My allergies began to act up the moment we entered. When we turned on the air it became worse. The wall under the air vent had what it appeared to be water marks or some type of old leakage. Carpet in room needs attention. Valet parking was horrible. It appear there wasn't enough staff to handle the volumn. We decided to park elsewhere & walk to the hotel. I understand it's an older hotel. For the brand & price I was expecting a greater quality. The front desk associates were very kind & professional.

We really enjoyed the hotel, the front desk person initially was horrible. Then we met our savior she was amazing. She did explain the young man was a new college graduate, and his head wasn't in the game. She gave us our hotel credit, she also gave us discounts which the young man forgot. The room service was good, they don't do room service like they used to. I think the front desk ladies name was Latrell . The bellman was great, the area was great as well, we're glad we didn't stay at the other Sheraton in the French quarter. We really loved New Orleans, the people were great. The food was spectacular, we're glad we're glad we stayed at the Sheraton.

My family booked this hotel primarily for the location as it is right on Canal street and we were able to watch the Mardi Gras parade. This was very convenient for my two little kids as we could easily go back to our room to use the restroom, take a break, and unload all the beads they caught. The rooms were nice. I got a room with two queen beds. The beds were clean and comfortable. Plenty of pillows. My room didn’t have a lot of drawer space so I wasn’t able to unload all of our clothes. There is a small fridge that you can use for drinks but it took a little while to get cold. The elevators were running quick so I had no issues waiting to go up and down. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. My room came with a daily $15 credit which can only be used at the bar area or Roux
