Shawnee Valley Campground & Kayak Rental

I've camped all over the country, Shawnee Valley Campgrounds is by far one of the top 3 places I've been to under private ownership!!!! Highly recommend

Really lucky there was a tent site available the weekend we camped here. The people are really nice and helpful. It’s worth the $25 per night we paid to tent camp. Although the river was low and they were not renting kayaks we had a great time there.

Great place for family fun

Friendly, shady, no harsh rules that restrict having fun. Our primitive camping site was shaded all day. Price was good, $15/night. Firewood was reasonably priced. Jim brought firewood right to our campsite. Paint creek runs right by the campgrounds. Showers/restrooms were clean. My only negative was that we only saw 2 showers. 1 for women, 1 for men. Also, no sinks in the shower room. That makes it a bit tricky to shave your face if needed. Overall, better than most campgrounds I've visited. I would recommend.
