Schuss has a variety of interesting runs. Four of the five lifts terminate at the same peak, so it's easy to meet up if members of your party have different interests. The red lift serves a different area completey. The red lift runs are shorter but offers plenty of challenge with wooded/glade runs. The red lift closes early tho since the served area is not lit for night skiing. During the week, you can often complete a run and then ski right back onto the lift.

As an avid golfer, I've travel to golf resort destinations across the US for over 25 years. In all those years, I've never felt so compelled to write a bad review at golf resort. Shanty Creek Cedar Village Resort and Golf Course was the worst experience we've had on so many levels. From the snarky and condescending attitude we received at the front desk by Joey, to Tom the rude starter at Cedar River GC. This place is one I strongly suggest you avoid unless you enjoy a substandard facility and discourteous, unappreciative personnel. ||The overall rating 16 of us gave the three courses we played at Shanty Creek Legends, Cider River and Hawk Eye, would only be a 6.5/10. The roughs possessed excessively high grass and the sand traps were extremely hard, unkept and full of rocks. No car

Amazing skiing venue in Michigan. Good prices. Ski in ski out works great. First time there and I will go every year multiple times now

Went inside for a quick break after skiing, and my skis were stolen. Employees offered no help and didn’t give any sort of discount for rentals even thought there was only 2 hours of ski time left. Overall bad experience and the place is a bit nasty too

The golf course starter was the biggest jerk I have ever met on a golf course. We played on September 27th at around 10am. The way we were treated was so unbelievable that for the first few minutes we thought he had to be joking. We tried multiple times to cool things down and be friendly with him. He was condescending way past the point of insult. After the round I called and asked to speak to the manager. Apparently they were busy so I left my name and phone number. I never received a call back. I will never come back to this golf course and do my best to make sure no one else does, either.
