Shanty Creek Resort - Summit Village

We had a group of friends come up to go tubing at Shanty Creek. We’ve come for the last few years and usually have a blast. This year, we were watching the weather so we bought tickets last minute. Within 30 minutes, we started having an emergency plumbing issue at the Airbnb we were staying at. We called and spoke to someone right away and she promised that she would talk to a director and we’d see a refund in the next day or two. By the end of that week, we hadn’t seen the refund. So one of our party called and spoke to Julie Clark. The immediate response from Julie was so unprofessional and rude. She directly called us liars and said there’s no way to verify whether or not we showed up. She wouldn’t even take our reservation numbers to pull it up in the system. She played games with

Me and my wife reserved this hotel for new year’s 2026 celebrations. When I called them for reservations, they explain that it’s going to be big party with DJ and dancing. They described that its going to be many different shows and dancing. I reserved room for lake view to see fireworks from warm room. Everything what happen in real life was absolutely different. First off all. Yes. Room was lakeview but not fireworks view because balcony from room on top of us was covered windows view to fireworks. Room heater was working so noisy that it’s not possible to stay in room when it’s working. Now about new year’s celebration party. Very family brought their kids. Awesome runs for myself a first time skier. Don’t even waste your time on the bunny hill- it’s exhausting. Loved the green runs all day and even worked my way up to one blue run. Chair lifts weren’t crowded on a Saturday and we had a great time!

My friends and I make this weekend trip every year, and unfortunately this year we had stayed off site and had an emergency issues with our Airbnb. When we initially called, we were assured that we would receive a refund for our snow tubing reservation that we were no longer to make, but we never did. When I followed up and spoke with Julie, the conversation was incredibly disappointing. She accused me of lying and said there would be no way to prove we didn’t attend- as if I would waste my time trying to get a refund for something I had used. We went back and forth for over a week, with her repeatedly dismissing my concerns and ultimately stating that no refund would be given. As an establishment, I’m struggling to understand how there wouldn’t be any record showing that we never check

Great place to enjoy the slopes rooms overpriced for amenities available. Nice new 70 in TV but no bandwidth to watch , staff very rude and plan on eating somewhere else unless you reserve every meal or eat at slopes if you dont mind elementary cafeteria foods at gormai prices. Hopefully new owners bring this place back to its former glory
