Shady River RV Resort

It was poorly lit and difficult to get into (steep driveway that you couldn't see well from the road). It has been raining so the spot was super muddy and didn't drain well. The wifi was no existent at our site and the neighbors explained that unless you get a spot right next to a router you aren't getting any internet and even then it is spotty because it needed upgraded so badly. The managers were very careful about fast anyone drove around the park which made it very safe for kids but didn't enforce picking up after your dogs. My husband spent about 30 minutes picking up the dog poop from our site and had to confront a man who didn't pick up after his dog when it pooped in from of our RV. The community restroom was definitely not a place I wanted to enter - all around not a good site fo

Shady River was such a pretty place to stay with full hookups and so much space for us. It felt very private being amongst all the trees and right on the river. Pete was so sweet as well and accommodating. He checked on us the entire time via text and they had showers which was super helpful as our hot water heater wasn’t working. The price was also amazing which was the biggest appeal for us!

Would not recommend this campground. Bad unlevel and trashy sites. No shower house just a shack. Owner contacted me by text and wanted to give money back. Did not take it because we were staying the whole time to visit friends. But now wish we did because music late at night, dogs running loose, and no water pressure. Maybe he could hire help to fix issues.

A top-tier RV park! Spacious, level sites, impeccable amenities, and a wonderfully friendly staff. Our stay was flawless from check-in to departure. Highly recommended for anyone traveling through the area.

So first of all, the guy who runs it. Very nice and helpful. Our spot was by the entrance, and it was quiet for the most part. Lots of road noise in the morning. This park is mostly long-term. Our spot was tight to get into. It was kinda sketchy, but everyone was nice. We did get asked to be quiet after only being there a couple of hours bc the sound travels, she said. So that was disappointing. We had to sit around the back of our camper to not disturb. People came and went all night. I woke up several times with lights shining into the camper. The person across the way had lots of visitors I guess. Then when we were packing up a dude across the other way watched us the whole time.. stuff and all utilities worked great. The trees were beautiful.
