Scotty's Motel

I stayed here years ago at that time rooms were a little dated. I stayed last week for a ice fishing trip I gotta say new owners fixed rooms up nice they are well decorated comfy beds and clean ! This motel is close to everything and right in town prices are good I like it better than the big hotels in area (overpriced and always crowded) here you can back right up to your room .Best of all Annie and her husband are nice personable owners.They even had a locked shed they let us store our icefishing gear in for free! Already planning nxt years stay . Good spot for budget minded travelers looking for a place within budget and close to everythi ng in town.

Went to Munising to ice fish, got a room on very short notice. The room was clean and warm with super comfy beds, setup very nice for fishing and snowmobiling. Highly recommended!

This is a small old style motel. I am partial to these when they are nicely redone. Parking was almost outside our door. It is very clean and has been refurbished not long ago. Very good lighting and plenty of 120v outlets. Refrigerator is larger than most and has a freeze compartment. The room is larger than many motels/hotels. Friendly and easy check in. Bathroom was new looking. Nice place.

I called ahead before booking to make sure this was an acceptable place to stay, and I was assured by the office manager (Noah?) it would be. Unfortunately, that was not the case.||||We were given the wrong door code, which made getting into in our room unnecessarily difficult. He also failed to explain how to lock the door properly — something that should be basic and shared at check-in. Luckily, we caught the office manager before he left for the day. Most shocking of all, we were never told by the office manager that the room had no heat and that we should have requested a space heater. He knew room #1 had no heat but never told us. We called twice and never received a call back. That is completely unacceptable. The next day we stopped by the motel to speak with the office manager, and

Older hotel with a 50's vibe. Looks like they started some reno as the bathroom had been redone with cool retro tile but that's where it stopped. For $170/night I would expected more. The room & furniture needs updating. I will say staff was friendly & helpful, rooms were clean & bed was comfortable. Hotel is for sale & off the main road. Neighborhood is very quiet & homeowners watch out for each other & hotel guests
