The Timber Ridge Inn

Place was amazing for the price. It was a nice northwoods motel with a mini-kitchen with a table, a living room, and a bedroom. Wife loved the bed and we both slept very well. Quiet location on a beautiful lake and about 1/2 mile from the snowmobile trails and fuel. Owner was amazing and very accommodating, even let us borrow the heated garage to put on our snowmobile stickers and make some last second repairs. Plenty of parking for trailers and sleds.

This was our first time staying at Timber Ridge, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Our room was comfortable, and the extra space afforded by the suite made it a relaxing spot to retreat to in between outdoor activities. The view of the lake, including the small hangout space by the dock, was lovely for evening chilling. Plus, the owner/operators are so nice and accommodating!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was very quiet and peaceful. The views off the back porches are beautiful. I enjoyed sitting outside each morning watching the lake to start my day off fresh and relaxed. The rooms were very clean and the rec center with the sauna and the pool table is a nice way to unwind after a day of hiking. The owners are very friendly as well. This is a fantastic, calm place outside of town to stay when visiting Munising and the Pictures Rocks. The location also makes it a good base camp for exploring the UP.

We stayed for two nights while visiting Pictured Rocks, and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and communicated clearly throughout our stay. The location couldn’t have been better—close to everything we needed. Our room was clean, thoughtfully arranged, and the beds were very comfortable—even the pull-out couch! The lake view was stunning, and the overall charm of the motel really added to our trip.

We stayed here for 1 night when we visited Pictured Rocks. Instructions were very clear for check-in and check-out. It was nice to stay somewhere with beds in 2 different rooms. At the end of July it was pretty hot even with the fans set up as suggested. Other guests were out front grilling and were a bit loud when we went to bed around 8 pm. The view from the small deck was gorgeous. It was a nice stay and as advertised.
