Scottish Inns Westcott Street, Houston, TX

This hotel is conveniently located in the city and within walking distance to coffee, great restaurants, and a convenience store. The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, and parking was available. We are glad to have chosen this place to stay for our weekend in Houston.

Charged $300 for smoking — even though no smoking happened in the room.||Stayed here recently and got charged $300 after checkout because they said there were “wrappers in the room” and it “smelt like weed.” Yes, I had legal, store-bought cannabis (which is allowed in Texas — like Delta-8 and similar hemp products you can buy at licensed shops). I rolled it in the room but only smoked outside in designated areas.||There was no smoking inside. They used the smell and some wrappers in the trash as “evidence,” which is ridiculous. If that’s the standard, anyone traveling with legal products could be wrongly charged.||When I called to explain, they refused to listen and insisted that wrappers and a smell were enough. That’s not how hospitality or fairness works.||I won’t be staying here again

The rooms were very nice and clean, but they didn't have breakfast in the location. It was about around the park and everybody was jogging, or there was a marathon that day. It was a little hard to get to, and then before 11 o'clock check out time. They were rushing it out the door. My husband is in Houston, so that's the only reason why I went there. I mean, I definitely would go and stay there again. The location of the hotel is bad because of the park, but it's right next to the highway. I hop is across the street, so it's conveying for breakfast

Scottish Inns Westcott Street is a great place to stay. I stayed from Saturday, February 7, 2026, to Sunday, February 8, 2026. The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and quiet. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

So our experience was not a very good one first of all the owner, which was a woman I’m assuming was super rude once we paid for our room she did not want to give the card because we want to cancel our second day on there and she didn’t wanna give us a card to the room until we canceled that second date. Also, Lennon seem to be nasty. The chair that my husband set in the handle broke And it had a screw sticking up out of it, which is a safety liability. The bathroom was not clean. There were roaches, so be aware. The parking is very limited and the people there are constantly watch you and remind you who you can can I have in your room also also if you’re going to get a room and request non-smoking, make sure it is non-smoking and it does not smell like smoke so you are not charged for som
