I had a wonderful stay at Scholar Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. Check-in was smooth and quick, and I immediately felt comfortable and taken care of. The location is perfect to walk downtown. The room was clean, modern, and the bathroom was beautifully designed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The staff truly made the experience even better. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with anything we needed. I especially want to recognize our housekeeper, Ny. She was amazing during our stay! I had a really great stay at the Scholar Hotel in Morgantown. The location is honestly perfect! super close to everything downtown and really convenient if you’re visiting WVU or just exploring the area. I loved that I could walk to restaurants and shops without needing to drive everywhere. The hotel itself is very clean. feels cozy and welcoming. The rooms were well put together, the bed was comfortable, and everything felt fresh and taken care of. I also appreciated the little details like the decor and overall vibe, it feels more boutique than a basic hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful the whole time. It’s been 2 years since our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised at some very positive changes at this property. The Scholar has a fantastic location if you want to be near WVU downtown campus or in the center of Morgantown night life and waterfront. |It is very walkable to High Street and many bars/restaurants. The big changes I mentioned were the parking and the room. Previously parking was in an old attached garage. Currently it isn’t open and we parked on the side of hotel for $12 ish per night. |Additionally the room has been updated. It is very sizable and has plush bedding and an updated, very large bathroom. I chose the 4th floor due to noise from nightlife being a factor. Positive: Location Negative: The windows/sound proofing is soo bad we were kept up by peoples conversations outside the hotel while they spoke at normal volume. Tub drain had hair from previous customers table/desk was deformed and bubbling like wet ikea furniture
