Saunders Sunrise Cabins

This our second time visiting these quaint cabins. We come up for snowmobile trips. Chris and Robin are such wonderfully nice people!

The owners were very nice and check-in was a breeze. The view is spectacular. The cabins are just a few feet from the water. The cabin itself was fine. It is VERY old and rustic, so if you want modern hotel amenities, you should stay elsewhere. We found our Cabin #3 to be quite comfortable with everything we needed in the kitchen. We also liked the location. It is close to Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon Falls, and only an hour from Sault St Marie. The free use of the canoe and kayaks was nice, as well. It was a fun and interesting stay.

We just got back from staying here. This place.... pure heaven. It is a pure, up north, true northern cabin. With views that i swear what heaven looks like. Very nice couple who own it. Met them both on check in day. And they left us be, just how i wanted it. Peace. The cabins next to u were occupied as well, but theres so many beatufiul views to choose from you never really bother each other. Little store in town for anything you forgot. And we found a gem that we deemed the mermaid cove with my kids. I am so thankful we came here. Hope to return this fall, or next summer for sure!

This review is long overdue since I took the trip on memorial day weekend but I promised Chris and Robin I'd leave a review so here I am! They're the loveliest, most accommodating owners I've met. So friendly and chatted with us while I had breakfast by the water. I stayed in the green cabin (on the far end, closest to their home). Had all the privacy I needed, even though all the cabins were occupied. See attached pictures for beautiful views of the sunrise! It may look like the paint is worn off on the outside and I think some reviews mentions that but wait till you get inside! :) It's such a cozy little place and honestly, worth the money! They also try really really hard to maintain these beautiful cabins so please do not hesitate to book a stay. I promise you won't be disappointed :

Cute cabins with an amazing view. Perfect sunrise every day of our stay. Coffee makers in the cabins were an amazing touch and the store down the road had some pretty good local grinds. Would recommend to everyone coming this way.
