Sands Motel & RV Park

Worst place I have been. Very very rude office lady. Very offensive. The only ice they have is a small Ziplock. And that was a charge. Charged me every time the key to hotel deactivated on its own. Charged 10 bucks for tv remote with a money return upon checkout. And when returned they kept the ten bucks.TV didn't even work. Was more of room by the hr place. Drugs everywhere. If you get lucky you could have a room service once a week. Need any help from staff is waste. Bugs everywhere. Many gun shots per night. Police always there. Good thing. Needs to be condemned. Major health hazards. I understand there are homeless people and where would they go from there? This is tough but it's time to shut the doors. I will be contacting proper authority.

One of the worst places you can stay Lady up front is always angry about something and even more petty over a room cleaner forgetting to place towels in a room. Claimed we destroyed the TV and cut cords in the room but they couldn't provide evidence of such behavior told us we weren't welcome back which too be honest not many people are coming back for excellent service or good rooms probably only showing up for the ridiculously cheap rates and the rest is forgettable.

It's a total dumpster fire. It is absolutely the worst place. The room I stayed in, first off, was too much $ for an extremely low quality room that was the size of a walk-in closet with a small bathroom, for which there wasn't a door and the exhaust fan wasn't working. There was roaches everywhere! The room was obviously not cleaned before it was rented or after being vacated by the previous guests. I assumed I was expected to clean it because there was a toilet scrubber in the bathroom on the left side of the toilet. The main door to the room had a faulty locking device, it got stuck, and I couldn't get out of the room. They are pet friendly, however no one cleans up after their animals.

Three years ago it might have been 3 stars, but like the other reviews have said, it's infested with cockroaches now. The area it's located in is pretty rough, and a Google search on it's news stories will probably make up your mind if the roaches don't. No exaggeration. It is probably the cheapest motel that I know of, but it's not worth it.

I'm staying in the motel part and honestly its not that bad. Yes the place is run down, and yes it could be cleaner, and yes the stuff is outdated, but i haven't seen or found any bugs in my room so far, so that's a huge plus. The office was nice to me and got me a room quickly so my kids and i were off the street. They offer basic cable, the water is hot, and the heater in our room works fine. It's not fancy, but it puts a roof over my kids heads and gives them a place to sleep.
