Sands Motel

Use to stay here all the time when I was growing up. So decided to stay and see how it was....rooms are very dated....the tv on the wall was very small . The room definitely needed some TLC. On the plus side the shower was nice and hot.

The desk clerk was friendly and helpful with our questions. We liked the room because the sheets were clean, the room was clean and smelled good. The temperature was comfortable inside and the heater was not noisy. The refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker worked. The shower had good water pressure and the water temperature was excellent. The parking area had good lighting. The price was budget friendly and even included a limited breakfast of toast, cereal and milk. It’s an older style motel

It was barely OK for an overnight transit stop. Cleanliness could have been better. Dead flies on the bathroom window sill. Bathroom sink not clean. Bed sheets were clean. There was a fridge and microwave. Exposed wiring on the electrical outlet in the bathroom. ..DANGEROUS. I hope you like a hard bed. Continental breakfast was advertised. When I went to breakfast area there was orange juice, cereal, coffee and one banana. When I questioned the staff a couple of buns appeared. It is even a little below what you should expect at this price point.

Inexpensive yet great quality!! $65/night for our 4 adults in a 2 queen - nonsmoking room. Nice looking for a locally owned motel. They maintain their property with care. Super clean room. Their beds are soft enough for enjoyable sleep. Air conditioner works great. Bathrooms have everything one needs. May not be a 5 star resort bathroom, but this isn't a 5 star hotel! ;-) So glad I chose to go with the real user reviews and not the lady's review on here... she was apparently a worker who was fired! Will be noting this motel for future travels!

Clean, comfortable, convenient and very affordable! Hosts/owners were very gracious even though we showed up quite late at night. The shower head was only about 5 feet high, making it a little hard for a taller person like myself to take a comfortable shower and the complimentary breakfast was taken down a bit early. Overall, a nice experience for a quick overnight stay.
