Sand Castle Inn

This may be the best affordable hotel I've stayed at in California. Comfortable bed, large screen TV (and cable that's easy to navigate, unlike so many hotels lol), fridge with freezer, and microwave. Good location with lots of food choices nearby. Had a lovely chat with the lady of the house when extending. They're on top of things here with plans on more improvements. All the best of luck to them, and I'll absolutely be staying here again when i visit Monterey!

They are absolutely wonderful to guests! Accommodating, friendly, in the rooms are clean, with coffee makers, refrigerator, microwave, nice flat screen TV with some common channels. The property is very clean. There was some construction going on as they were putting in electric vehicle charging stations but no problems at all!

Great spot to stay, clean rooms and loved that they had a fridge and microwave for leftovers. They are a great location close to a restaurant if we didn't feel up to driving somewhere and close to a gas station to get snacks at. Also walkable to the beach which we did every morning! I only have 1 ~con~ charging per night for animals per pet. :( but that's pretty much anywhere you stay so I understood. But overall great stay!

Positive: The location is good, but the front staff are rude. Everything is done through a window. The old guy yells at customers to present ID and credit card instead of asking. We pay for the service and should be treated this bad. Negative: Try to stay somewhere else. Owners are cheap and rude. Diversity in the country is good, but when these people work with customers, they need to be respectful, provide customer service, and have courtesy. Rudeness should not be allowed.

Rooms are super clean. Bed was ok for us. Check in a breeze and bathroom was huge. Had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. T.V. worked great. Overall would recommend for a stay. Great value also. Will come back in future.
