Sabine Lake Inn

A previous reviewer said, “Spacious, clean room and very comfortable bed”. I agree. However, we did not get clean towels (we stayed three nights), there was no breakfast - nothing, and the staff was a little scarce. The place was clean and comfortable and we have no complaints about the facilities. The staff was friendly, but not always helpful. We had to ask for a fridge and microwave, which they put in our room promptly. We asked for a WiFi password and never got it. For the money, we paid $60 a night) this was decent lodging. Close to the lake, quiet, and shopping and food minutes away without traffic. We would stay again even with the small negatives.

New management is really working hard to improve the facility. Recently had a 3-night stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Management was very hospitable. The hotel has several rooms that are not yet completed but they are in the process of getting those back in operation. There was ample parking to accommodate our boat, with hook-ups for recharging batteries. No complaints - planning on staying here again.

This hotel one day will be the top leading hotel in Sabine County for families that love the great outdoors and of course fishing. When this hotel was under Sabine Lake Inn it was disgusting. The new owners are renovating this place and they are doing a great job. The management could not be any nicer, they are the most wonderful people you would ever want to meet. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The bed is one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept on and I would be happy to stay here again. It sets back off the highway so you don't hear all the traffic going by and security is at the top of their list. Go by and check them out and after you meet them and see the place you will be booking a room at a great rate.

Gave it a one because zero was not an option. Quite possibly the worst hotel I've stayed in and I've slept in foxholes. Things that were broken: air conditioner, door lock, shower, no tissues no toilet paper,. Things that were dirty: towels, a pillowcase, the floor, the dressers, the chair had an interesting stain, the mold in the tub. And to top it off I did not get the room I reserved and no there is not a breakfast or hairdryer no matter what they tell you on the phone.

I was very pleased with my stay. The room is large, extremely clean, and the bed was so comfortable that I overslept! The family that runs this hotel could not have been nicer. Great breakfast bar with fresh, hot coffee, too. We needed overflow sleeping arrangements for our large family Christmas. I would definitely come back.
