The Byrd's Nest RV Park & Cabins

We stayed in a cabin. Everything was more than I expected except the cabin had an old oder to it but a candle or air freshener made it more enjoyable. It was very clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen and towels and bedding included.

Okay, so we stayed last year at one of the cabins, it was nasty. We vowed to never go back. This year we stayed at a different place in our camper. Our friends in spite of our warning, opted to stay where we did last year. It was even worse. Nothing had been cleaned since the last guest had stayed there! It was even worse than it was last year. Cobwebs, musty smelling, the toilet had not been cleaned from the last stay. It is a nice location on the lake, but I require any place I stay to be cleaned before I get there personally. If you’re into clean stays, I would definitely not recommend the cabins. The RV spots are to close together also. UPDATE: To the response below, there is not another reason. One of my favorite places in East Texas! Such great views and amazing sunsets. Keith and Kelley are always improving the park and are extremely helpful. I’ve met wonderful and friendly people at their park that are life long friends. Great location on Toledo Bend as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an amazing spot right on the water at Toledo Bend Lake. Right on Hwy 21 before the Pendleton Bridge, this park is right on the water with covered boat slips and the kids even swim right there at the boat ramp. The cabins are comfortable and stay freezing cold if that's what you like. There's a full-size refrigerator and a stove, sink... complete kitchen even with pots and pans. You don't have to bring anything but food seriously. Towels, bed sheets, it's all there. Kelley (and her husband, Keith) is the owner and she's as friendly as she can be. She really means it that you're like family but she's not intrusive like some family can be. If she's eating when you come by though, she's quick to offer! Across the street from the park there is an huge flea market for between fishing

Owners are wonderful. Very attentive, nice and always working to make ur stay pleasurable. Stayed 3 months and enjoyed every minute. Lots of good fishing, easy access, short walk from RV(30 feet from ours)
