Ruby's Rest

This is the second time I've stayed here, and if you're not looking for fancy—and let's face it, if you're in Damascus, Virginia—you ain't looking for fancy because it ain't here! If you're looking for a cute, cozy cottage with a great host, then this is your place!!

I have stayed at Jeffery's place a few times through Airbnb, but planned to tent camp over the weekend for yeti100. I knew the girl renting the cottage and Jeff let me stay there last minute. It made for easy access to Damascus aid station, and he even allowed my 3 dogs to make themselves at home. Jeff is a stand-up guy, great hospitality, every time I visit this place I never want to leave. Until next time! Happy trails!

Nice Cozy separate guest house and refuge. Two blocks from the trail and a few little restaurants. Jeff is an excellent host and a fellow traveller in his own right.

Some people won't like it because it is not fancy enough but the rest of us like it because of that. Those other people can go somewhere else and leave Ruby's to us. I will definitely be back.

Very convenient to the trail. Easy to book on AirBnB. Owner is very friendly, and the beds are very comfortable.
