Royal Inn

Despite its 7.2 cleanliness rating on Expedia, this inn is filthy and nasty. There is mold on the shower and bathroom walls. The walls in the bathroom and throughout the room are dirty, as if someone just put muddy handprints on them. The shower curtains are yellowed and stain with God knows what. The towels are paper thin, worn and disgustingly stained. The pillows are beyond past their time to be tossed - they are completely flat and covered in orange/ brown spots that look like mold. And what could be seen on the bottom mattress, they’re in the same condition. I was afraid to remove the sheets and look at the top mattress. When we addressed the issue with person at the front desk, we were given a key to look at two other rooms to pick from to switch. I wish I could say they were in bet

Unable to locate a hotel in the Gainesville, Florida area for less than $179, we called the Royal Inn. They made our reservation for $99. We were pleasantly surprised to see the condition of our room. It was clean, in good condition with all appliances in working order. The linens, furnishings, and carpeting all appeared to be relatively new and were in good shape. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area and just needed a good night's sleep in a clean, safe hotel. The staff we came in contact with were quite friendly and helpful.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. This was by far the worst experience I ever had. Not only did they mess up our reservations they set us up with these 2 raggedy rooms. There were roaches INSIDE the sheets. They were crawling up the walls. They had an army battalion of roaches marching up and down both rooms. It was 2 in the morning and we had no other option but to leave. We would rather sleep in the car then even lay in those disgusting rooms. The thought of the roaches crawling all over me while I slept confirmed to me that this might be the worst place in the whole state. Steer clear…

I had a great stay here while my power was out from Hurricane Helena. The family that owns this place was amazing and went out of their way to accommodate us even though my elderly father had some issues and my leg was broken. Everything was clean, and the room was affordable. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was infested with roaches🪳🤢 told the dude who took our keys and he scoffed at us. This place is kinda sketchy and gave me weird vibes, the roaches were just the cherry on top. Not worth $94, most the rooms were being demolished anyway, I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for this place. Stay somewhere else!
