Quality Inn Alachua - Gainesville Area

Very mixed bag at this property. Staff was very friendly. Property/Room was clean, but in pretty rundown shape... really in need of some upgrades. Pleasantly surprised to have daily housekeeping (sign in lobby says there's "no housekeeping"), but housekeeping never emptied trash in the room. Weird. Breakfast was just ok... needed a few more choices, like some kind of meat, better bread/toast options, etc. AC in room didn't work well... thermostat showed "60" but room was never cooler than 72-73. Location on a state highway by the interstate means there is a lot of car/truck traffic and lots of NOISE day and night. -- This is a 2-star motel which is fine for a night, provided you pay no more than $60-80. Great price; not far from stadium; not in a "bad" area of town. The iron did not work and the beds were a little hard but we slept fine. No roaches or bed bugs or carpet but chairs should be cleaned or maybe get newer ones without cloth. The staff from front desk to dining to custodial was great, keep them!

For the past few years, my wife and I come down to Gainesville about 5 times a year, we started out by staying at different Choice Hotel properties in the area until we stayed at the Quality Inn Alachua... we have found our "go to" place to stay when we come to Gainesville. Shelley the day time Service Desk Attendant and Chris the evening Service Desk Attendant are always focused on the customers needs and go above and beyond to help with the quality of our stay. The hotel staff have always greeted us with friendly smiles and attitudes. The room is very cozy and comfortable, we always get a good nights sleep. The hotel is conveniently located around local attractions, shopping and dining. I do highly recommend the Quality Inn Alachua if you need a place to stay in the Gainesville area.

Comfortable stay. Diane and Chris were very helpful. One room had issues with heat and they resolved that quickly and ensured my stay was comfortable. Breakfast staff is very friendly as well.

Stayed here as it was fairly close to UF when all the closer hotels were fully booked or outrageously overpriced (family weekend/home game). We stayed in a 2nd floor room, facing the pool. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and checking in was easy. The room showed wear and tear, and the black out curtains don’t completely cover the window - the outside security lights are on all night. There is no elevator. There is free breakfast available, but the lobby reeked of old cigarettes, so we didn’t partake.
