Alachua Inn

Terrible and gross experience with poor customer service- our stay was 11/22/2025. The front desk person didn’t speak good English, my handicap wife had to struggle to climb stairs to get to our room. Problems with the room include: No working TV No working Wi-Fi No working fridge Very loud Ac Multiple light bulbs burnt out Dingy gross shower towels User Google to find a phone number and call the office because there’s no phone provided in the room and the man at front desk simply told us he would tell his manager in the morning - uber helpful I would recommend sleeping in your car instead of this establishment

Under new ownership, Alachua Inn has been thoroughly updated in its welcoming area, breakfast area and guest rooms -even adding a small exercise room. Eight of us spent two nights there during a kayak excursion and all commented on the pleasant accommodations and personable staff - we'll be going back!

Positive: Bed hurt our back. Had to go home a day early because of the beds and was not compensated for it. Negative: Pool was NASTY!!!!!!

This place was lacking in every way. Despite being listed as amenities, the fridge, tv, wifi, and even lamps didn't work. We called to the front desk with our cells - because there's no phone in the room- and were told that it would be fixed by the manager in the morning. The manager could have also fixed the cobwebs, stray pubic hair on the bathroom floor, the towel rack that was falling out of the wall, the exposed wiring in the bathroom and the power strip that the moldy broken fridge was plugged into, and the tiny thin wool blanket that was the only bedding available. We went to the front desk in the morning and requested our second night stay be canceled. We were told that only a manager could do that but they would be in in the morning to handle it, which we requested a call back to

We enjoyed our stay. Everything in our room looked brand new. I was so happy with the fact there was no carpeting. I would stay there again. We stayed in room 111 which includes a sofa bed.
