Rodeway Inn La Crosse

This is a $49 room, not an $89 room. Price online said $79, I was charged $89, even though I told the gentleman at the desk that I was told $79 when I spoke with him on the phone. The room is clean. The heat unit for the room is actually a unit in the wall that looks just like the air conditioner, so I went for a few minutes thinking I wasn't going to have any heat. It is loud, very loud. The rack for hanging your clothes was broken, and there is no luggage rack. The microwave and refrigerator were in good shape. The TV has two remotes and I can't get them figured out. There is no chair for the desk. There are two lights above the bed that don't match, and only one works. The bathroom is clean but small. Towels were good. I mean, firstly I can’t be too upset over the room I got , it was fairly cheap for a hotel. But the mattress wasn’t that comfortable, the AC wouldn’t stay on, so the room was warmer than I like a sleeping room to be. Bathroom was small, shower really small for me being 6ft 4. The tables weren’t 100% clean, there were visible smears on the surfaces. No peep hole in the door!!! This is a huge security issue in my opinion, my rooms layout didn’t even have a window out the front to see whoever could be at the door, and given the nature of that part of town, gods only know what type of person could potentially knock on it and with zero way to see, is a huge safety concern. I woke up and checked out only to a bit later notice I had several bites on my fingers and arms and was very itch

Positive: It was trash and the owners are racist Negative: Everything, it should be demolished immediately with no notice.

The exterior stair case covering is covered with spiders including over the entry door to the room. The bathroom was gross, the shower head drips, kept us up most of the night. Opened the window to get some fresh air in to the room and it was covered with spiders on BOTH sides of the screen. Many "drifters" living in the building, drug transactions appeared to be going on.

The room was dirty the floor was dirty the table tops were dirty. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The toilet was loose from the floor. Dirt and bugs in the windows gunk on the window shade curtains. Black spots in the sheets. The place was in the back alley of a restaurant. Would never take a family member there. Or want anyone else to stay there. They have so far reimbursed us for our stay. . Went down to econo Lodge and paid $5 less for what they charged.. with a much 100% nicer room..
