Rodeway Inn Helena

My fiancee and I booked a couple weeks here after staying at a few other hotels in town. We got a respectable room with a nice view at a respectable price. No frills or breakfast, just a comfy and peaceful room for two. It won't suit everyone, but it's worth the slightly lower price if you don't need the extras (pool, breakfast, etc) The front desk man was very personable and informative. That makes a difference, regardless of the price. The location is also ideal, for us at least.

The card readers on the doors need some attention. They would not recognize the cards a good portion of the time even though you held the card for minutes. The parking lot is very small and hard to maneuver a truck into the parking spots. Management was very helpful and would rate them a 10.

The rooms are pretty much what you'd expect for the price. They will clean better if you just ask, and they allowed me to stay over from one booking to another instead of checking out for four hours, which was nice. There aren't really many amenities, but they have donated food in the office from the food bank, if you're on hard times, or it's an emergency stay, and there is a can opener you can borrow from the front desk.

We have stayed at this hotel about 9 times in the past year. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The property is a bit outdated, and there are some quirks: one room had the hot/cold faucets switched, some light bulbs are missing. But the rooms are clean and the nightly rates are exceptionally good.

Beds were not comfortable. Looked like poo stains all over the corner of the bathroom. On the outside door of the bathroom looked like a line of... blood? I had to hold my foot on the tub drain for bit to drain while showering. Sketchy parking lot with broken down cars in it. Ac inefficient at cooling room effectively.
