Best Western Helena/Capitol Hotel

Chris at the front desk was wonderful! He was very polite and helpful. 5 stars! The room is very clean, great toiletries, and in a great Helena location. The lighted parking lot is also a huge plus!

Dani, Kristin, & Rob made what could have been an ordinary stay an extraordinary one. Of course they were professional, respectful, friendly, & helpful. Moreover, these 3 provided what was truly valuable to me on this trip: enjoyable and substantive conversation. They shared their authentic life wisdom & experience sans artifice (also without cussing), & they listened to me share mine. It wasn't the case that "I needed to talk". No. I simply needed the nourishment of regular human interface with intelligent adults. They each said beneficial things that I will carry forward in life. Dani also gave me the gift of sharing hearty laughs. She's so much fun! She is — along with Kristin & Rob — truly an asset to Best Western.

Check in was easy room was clean. The security latch on the door didn't line up didn't work. Front door didn't seem to shut correctly. The hotel staff were friendly would return minor issues. The breakfast situation is not good. Went to get the included breakfast at the restaurant next door, wasn't even acknowledged waited for 15 minutes without anyone greeting us or taking our order or any contact at all. No wonder the restaurant is going out of business. The terrible experience at the restaurant left a negative impression on us for the entire experience.

The staff were super sweet, polite, and friendly. Especially the manager who checked us in and the young lady who checked us out. Checking in/out was a breeze with no fuss or silly "rules". They welcomed my dog and apologized profusely that they couldn't fulfill my request to be on the ground floor. The whole hotel was spotless and smelled CLEAN! The rooms were also spotless, newly renovated, and cozy with GREAT working air conditioning. We appreciate the cleanliness and the quiet of this hotel. We will for sure be back SOON! Stopped in over one night. The hotel is conveniently located off the I-15, rooms are clean and quiet. The restaurant was under construction when we stayed but they still offered a made to order breakfast. In early 2026 there will be a full service restaurant onsite.
