Residence Inn by Marriott Helena

The tiny TV although indicates a streaming option, doesn’t really work. Completely annoying 1990’s technology. I don’t understand, you are a Marriott hotel in 2025 get your stuff together.

Stayed Friday to Sunday night, overall this is not like any other experience I’ve had at a residence inn. It’s usually our go to and we love it. However, there was no hot water and when I called to ask, I was told, “yeah we’ve been having this issue for a while.” Supposedly, they had someone working on it but it didn’t get better prior to our departure. If this has been an issue for a while, why hasn’t it been addressed? Why are we still booking rooms if we know this issue hasn’t been resolved? The room itself was alright, but definitely needed a good vacuum under beds and dressers.

There's signs that say they will be remodeling some of the rooms soon, which is good because the room that we stayed in shows lots of wear and tear. The water from the sink as well as the water from the kitchen service tastes super weird, breakfast was fine but pretty bland, the coffee was good though and the staff were lovely.

Positive: It was quiet. Great pool area with splash pad. Room was great! Negative: Some of the splash pad features were not working, so that was a bummer for our 4 year old.

Do not stay here. I recently stayed here on 15 November 2025. Two things. When I checked in, they didn't tell me that the boiler was broken and there was no hot water. Second, when I woke up in the morning, I had an allergic reaction during the night to whatever they sprayed on the room. I didn't notice it until I looked in the mirror and my eyes were totally demon red. I filled out an incident report, was contacted by a manager on 17 November, and then received an email the same day from the manager saying because I didn't complain about it earlier (it happened while I was sleeping) and I had stayed on the room that it was my fault. But, if you want to throw away your money, feel free to stay here, but I will never do it again. Marriott has lost a 30 year customer.
