We booked a king size room and when we arrived they told us that this is what happens when you book with a third party site and they don’t have any king beds available. They said because we used a third party site no discounts or accommodation could be made. I wish I had taken pictures, our room was the size of a large walk in closet, we had to step into the shower just to open the bathroom door fully to get to the toilet. The carpet was bunched up in places, so don’t trip. The ac only worked when it wanted to and it smelled like the worst stinky feet. The light outside our window flashed all night long which could be seen through the curtains. The pillows were travel size bricks. Make sure any charging cables you bring are long because all the plugs were at least 2 feet from any surface.
Where to start? Waited 45 minutes until an employee actually showed up at the office to check me in. (This was in the afternoon...not the middle of the night! And I wasn't the only customer waiting.) And when the employee did show up she didn't really profess any concern about our wait at all. Then she assigned me a room on the 2nd floor and when I requested a ground floor room instead (as I had recently had both hips replaced) you would have thought I asked her to build me that ground floor room! Got to the room...no liners in trash cans, no toilet paper(!), no amenities at all (soap, lotions, ice bucket, etc.). And though the location is close to the train station that sound was drowned out by the airplane exhaust level sound of the A/C unit! Bathroom was so small it was necessary to act
Great value!!!!!!!!!! The place was clean considering it is a older facility. I was in town for some skiing. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator both necessary for a budget ski trip. I was able to make hot coffee and hot soup. I was able to keep my beverages cold. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Location location location! Service was weird, I checked in later and the lady was very quick to get me in and out. I get it, it was probably time for her to go home. The room was very small, it’s okay it was just me. It wasn’t the nicest but for the price it was doable.
Positive: Location to downtown and restaurants. Easy to walk and visit the sites. Negative: Need a rack to hang clothes on, had to use the shower curtain rod to do so. Make sure the appliances have an outlet close to plug into. Had to move microwave and coffee maker to get electrical access.
