Rocky Mountain Lodge

I camped here when riding the Tour Divide 2025 (July 4th). The Location is amazing. Becky and the owners were so helpful and generous, as were the other guests I met. I highly recommend.

For those of you (legit) complaining about the road, FR250, drive 30 mph. The road smooths out at higher speed. Driving slow to reduce bumpiness is a formula far teeth rattling.||Friendly, helpful people. Tire service available here.

This is definitely a quirky place. Stayed in cabin 1 with 3 adults. 3 beds are available in that unit. A little over price according to the brochure we over paid. I would still recommend. The staff was amazing. I would pass on the wifi since it's only available by the front door of the front office. The store has a lot of stuff if you forgot something. And the tap water is well water so if you're not used to that it will taste different. All in all great stay for 2 night and rested after a backpacking trip. Give it a try, but call ahead for a better deal.

My husband grew up coming here and it’s been 15 years since we brought our brand new trailer here. This trip was just my husband and myself and our 11 month old puppy Bella. We brought our trailer and were there for a week. Had campsite 15 and loved it! Went fishing everyday and caught our limit everyday. Becky at the office was the sweetest! Phil was very very helpful to us! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! Had a camp fire nearly every night, except when it was raining. The hummingbirds were everywhere!! I have nothing but praise for this beautiful lodge!! My only complaint has nothing to do with Rocky Mountain Lodge, but the road you have to travel to get there. Seriously can’t someone do something to make it better??

This rating is based on my personal predilection for vintage places when I travel. This property is clean quiet and well maintained with very nice young (under 30) staff. Comfy bed. If luxury is your personal preference you may prefer another property. Good TV choices for this mountain location. Top rated local diner right out front. I consider this place as EWEP. Excellent Worth Every Penny. If you go tell Derric and Brittany that Catfish sends his best regards. I hope you find the place as restful as I did,
