Conejos River Campground RV Park

We had a great stay at Conejos River Campground. We had a beautiful spot with amazing views and everyone was so friendly! Very clean camp sites and facilities.

I stayed in the Pinon Cabin.||Just to let others know.....there is no ventilation in the cabin, only one small window not enough to let fresh air in. The first night I stayed there was a good rain storm, during the middle of the night the moisture from the rain made the cabin smell like tar, I had to open the front door & put the fan in front of the door to get fresh air inside.||||On a positive note; The bathrooms are very clean and it is very quiet here.||The man who helped me check in was very nice & extremely helpful. ||The campground is a great in a great location, close to||So many hiking trails, fishing spots & Fox Creek store is across the street.

Beautiful, quiet campground run by good people. Old KOA situated up against the Rio Grande National Forest, round the bend from Los Mogotes, and just a few hundred yards from wild Conejos river. Gorgeous setting. No frills. Decent washers and dryers. Friendly and hospitable hosts. Lots are unpaved on the smaller rig side but relatively level. I stayed a week and loved it. Will be back one day.

There is NO phone service here. There is weak wifi which I was able to manually enter into Wavelink and get a little bit of service. The host was friendly. Sites are easy to access. The electrical outlet is barely off the ground. There is an access path to the river but, I didn't try it as it appeared to be 30+ feet down to the river. The scenery here is stunning.

I stayed here for a couple of weeks this summer in an RV spot. The laundry facilities were good, the grounds were well kept, and the staff were friendly. Access to the river is not especially easy, so maybe not good if you have some physical issues, but there's easier access a couple of miles away. DON"T EXPECT cell phone cover or WIFI, you most likely won't get any, unless you have Starlink or similar. I loved the peace and quiet, the amazing scenery and wildlife, and the great attitude of the staff. Well worth a visit.
