Roami at Duncan Plaza

Came down for Mardi Gras week and i am grateful to have found this space. This is a five-star review for a vacation rental that costs about half as much as any other Hotel in the neighborhood and has much more amenities. Namely a nearly full kitchen with microwave, full size refrigerator, two burner stove top, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and tea kettle. They also have in room laundry and the unit size is double that of a hotel room. This is a vacation rental not a hotel, so there is no daily cleaning. But they will bring you more towels if you need and they came in midweek to change the sheets and wash the floor and clean the kitchen and bathroom. Not great. Location on Canal can be convenient but Canal is not a great scene and it can be loud for rooms facing the street. Toilet broken, temperature in the room is locked(!) with no ability to adjust and the TV required work to get it to connect. It's an ok room with a decent size balcony (no smoking with $500 fine threat) but dissaponting overall.

Horrible experience. We got the one bedroom deluxe-- but the sofa bed which was advertised as pull out came with no bedding, sheets or pillows and the mattress is the flimsiest, filthiest thing l've ever seen in my life. We asked for extra towels-- they said one towel per person per stay. When we asked for bedding to be delivered, they simply brought sheets which had hair on them. This is a complete bait and switch. The unit looks nothing like the photos and I feel completely robbed of my money.

The Parking Garages, Hallways, Lobbys and Elevators had awful smells to them. They needed maintenance at the most. I was very disappointed in everything leading up to the Room. The Room was a little above Average. The Couches had stains. It was not properly cleaned throughout.

Rented out an apartment on Air BNB or Verbo, been so long I don't remember which. Place was very clean. Only problem was you had to go through one of the bedrooms to get to the bathroom. Building was located only a couple blocks from Bourbon St and the main drag. Plenty of restaurants located around the building. Great view from the roof.
