Roadrunner Lodge Motel

My boyfriend and I stayed here with our dog for the night, as we were passing through. We love stopping by Tucumcari, and decided to give this cute place a try. We were so glad we did! The whole place is a step into a mid century aesthetic. Fresh paint, clean and well maintained property all around. They have a laundry room, offer snacks in the lobby along with souvenirs for purchase, and have patio chairs outside the rooms. When we walked into our room, there was a vintage style radio playing their curated radio station. I wish I could listen to this at home. We left it on as background noise when we slept. We really liked this motel. It was simple, but the hospitality was outstanding. Lots of quaint vintage touches. The best part for us and our furry friend was the warm and personalized welcome for our dog. We appreciated the clean dog play yard so she could exercise her legs after a long day of traveling. Fun experience on historic Route 66. We ate at Del’s within walking distance for an additional vintage experience.

A super charming spot to stay! Even though it’s very close to the highway, it has a cozy feel, making it convenient and comfy! The service was easy and kind, and our room had beautiful mid-century modern furniture and details. It was an amazing deal for the quality of sleep and the room :) plus bonus for the view of the local mountain from our window!! Thank you!

The best hotel on Route 66! A modern restoration with vintage vibes, the property is reminiscent of what a brand new hotel would have been like in the mid 1900s! As we opened the door to our room, a radio played vintage commercials, next to a tray of delicious Moon Pies. The bathroom was restored with a mid-century vibe, and the room itself was Impeccably clean with a very comfy bed and high end sheets. We selected an "Allergy Free" room, which is "politely enforced" and an unexpected option for a hotel that welcomes pets! Also onsite is laundry plus a classic car washing station with water, rags and towels free to use. The owner was very kind and attentive, and the gift shop had neat selection of cool branded items. Great motel in Tucumcari! The rooms were clean and cute. David had great recommendations and had the room fully stocked for our pup. They have a small dog park and cool fire pit. Would definitely stay again!
