Riverview Inn & Cabins

I stayed there with my family. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was really comfortable. The area is super quiet and peaceful, there was very little noise if any from traffic, I could hear the sounds of the night. it was just what we needed. The owners were pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. They let us build a fire at night. There was also fresh coffee in the morning that tasted good. My overall experience was exceptional

My son and I stayed here on a short trip to do some fly fishing. The owners are super friendly (Bill even gave us some hand-tied flies to try) and the room was very clean and comfortable. The coffee they provide every morning is great as well. We had a great time, enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back...hopefully this fall.

Overall an above average experience. I found the owner to be one of the nicest part of the experience. He was helpful, friendly and willing to make sure my experience was a good one. If you need to be around the North Branch of the Au Sable it doesn't get more convenient than this. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was quiet and away from what little traffic there was on Lovells road. While there is no thermostat for the air conditioning unit which fed all 6 rooms, it was quiet and sufficient for a pleasant sleep on the hot, humid nights I stayed there. A few caveats: would be nice to have a coat hook somewhere to hang various things; it would be nice to have a towel bar in the bathroom to hang a towel or two; I would have liked (needed) a plastic wrapped cup or two. Owners were welcoming and friendly and welcomed us to ask any questions. Basic accommodations; tv, fridge and microwave. Room was clean and had nice decor. A bonus was it’s close to a few river access points for some great fishing. Had a great stay here, this will be my place if I’m ever back in town.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING. AND YOUR RESPONSE PROVED MY POINT I ignored negative reviews while booking and this happened I don’t even know where to begin. This place doesn’t have a reception desk, no staff on-site, and to make things worse, there’s ZERO cellular signal in the area. So if you’re expecting to get help once you arrive – forget it. I arrived late due to travel delays and tried calling the property multiple times – no answer. I even texted them, hoping for a response. Nothing. I ended up stranded outside the building, unable to get in, completely in the dark – literally and figuratively.
