Rivertown Lodge

I have stayed at Rivertown Lodge many times over the years and have always enjoyed my stay but it’s an experience my daughter had a few days ago that is prompting me to leave this review. My daughter is in 12th grade and was just finishing up a one week internship in the area. She and her two classmates got to Hudson several hours before their train was due to depart back to the city. They wanted to explore Hudson and have some dinner, but they didn’t know what to do with their bags! They went to The Wick (where we had stayed just 4 days earlier), but were turned away when they asked if they could park their bags for a couple of hours. Dismayed, they walked to the opposite end of Warren street with their stuff but were too shy to ask anyone else. I told them to check with Rivertown

This place is cute as a button, and quite affordable in comparison to other hotels in Hudson. Staff/service was impeccable, and the open during fire hours coffee station/water was much appreciated.||So why not 5 stars? This is a ding against Workstead, who designed the whole property although they've had many years to make improvements. I saw the metal nightstand and thought, that's very handsome/good-looking but will be a PITA to find anything against. I'm an insomniac, and wouldn't you know when I was up in the middle of the night, everything I touched/moved on the nightstand was amplified and disturbed my husband's sleep. Secondly, wth does Worktead have against surfaces in the bathroom? There was ONE hook, and plentiful room for a towel bar that didn't exist. Why. Just, why. We

I had to change my Hudson accommodations at the last second and the staff at Rivertown Lodge could not have been more helpful and welcoming. My room was comfortable, clean and quiet and the common area with wood burning stoves and coffee/tea available all day was perfect during my winter stay.

Enjoyed a beautiful girls weekend getaway at this very clean and charming hotel Perfect location Michael at desk was very pleasant and accommodating Lobby vibe, music and wine were perfect spot for a Saturday afternoon pre dinner Comfortable pillows( 4) and mattress made for a restful peaceful night!! Will definitely be back!

we had an absolutely lovely and intimate dinner here. small, but well-executed menu and the staff were great!
