River Point Inn

Stayed for 5 nights while doing the Cowboy Rail to Trails bike. Donna was so wonderful with us, even showing my hubby around town in her car then calling the local tourism guide to also assist us in our stay! Every time we needed something she responded quickly and took care of it. The Inn was spacious, including a full kitchen and coffee. It was a perfect location in a restored old building right across the street from the river park and around the corner from the main street with cafes, stores, and museums. Perfect location and great Inn; would highly recommend! JSM

This is not like any hotel that you've been to before. Everything for check in and check out is done through a third party portal it is very easy to navigate. Right before check in you get your code to enter the main door of the building and then your room. Upon entering a huge suite there's a small kitchenette with nice table / desk along with seating area large TV then around the corner is a huge bathroom and around the next corner is a huge bedroom with very high end linens on a very comfortable bed. Plenty of parking nearby. This is in a revitalized up and coming downtown area has a great vibe. Lots of nearby restaurant choices that are walkable. I booked the River Point Inn for a week while in town visiting family. I was notified there would be no room service or cleaning during my stay. That was fine with me. However, when I was away from my room, a staff member came, cleaned without my knowledge, and threw away a pile of laundry that I had placed in a clean basket. The owner was very responsive and apologetic when I told her what happened. She searched and found most of my clothes in a dumpster and returned them to me in a garbage bag. When I took inventory of my things, I realized a pair of diamond earrings I placed on the bedside table also went missing. She searched for those, too, but they were never recovered. Such an awesome room! Access was super simple. Parking was close. Downtown was walkable. So glad we found this gem!!

This little hotel is AMAZING. Everything is well appointed and well thought out. It's so close to everything that you can park and walk to the brewery or the District event center. Love the auto check-in with door codes. The bed was sooo comfy, and the bathroom is ginormous!!! We will definitely stay there again if we ever find ourselves in Norfolk. Ps-the owner is so friendly!
