Residence Inn by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Excellent Stay with Friendly Staff and Great Amenities! Our recent stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront was truly fantastic, earning a well-deserved five stars! From check-in to check-out, we were consistently impressed. The staff were super friendly and always went out of their way to be helpful, making us feel welcome and valued throughout our visit. The breakfast was good, just as advertised, offering a great start to our days. While the parking was a little "wonky," as is often normal for this area, the valet service was always helpful and efficient, which really eased any potential stress. A major highlight for us was the pool and hot tub area. It was consistently nice and clean, providing a perfect spot for relaxation and keeping everyone busy and entertain

The hotel ticks all the boxes. The hotel was clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our suite was clean and tidy with modern furniture. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located on the boardwalk near many attractions (Smartmouth Brewing being one of our favorites). The indoor pool and whirlpool provide a nice relaxing experience. The complimentary breakfast was very good as well.

This stay was an extended stay so I was there for a couple of weeks. The staff, especially the early morning crew were nice and helpful. Everyone was willing to answer questions. Breakfast was very good and a decent selection. I really liked the quiche and waffles. Staff was on top of refilling and refreshing food when it was busy on the weekends. The highlight of my stay was the valet service. The parking lot is cramped but the gentlemen who valet made it less stressful. The majority of them were helpful, accommodating and quick. The young man who works the 6am shift, (I believe his name was Sam. He worked Thursday 12-18 and Friday 12-19), was AMAZING!!! The view was great. The rooms clean. With my work schedule, the only trouble I had was trying to coordinate with housekeeping. Overall,

Positive: Location on beach was excellent and a very nice pool. Negative: The suite for 6 had an unusable sleeper sofa and was not stocked with enough pillows or blanket. I am still trying to get the receipt to see what I was charged and second request. Great hotel facilities but horrible management.

I rented two rooms oceanfront view. One of the rooms had an obstructed view of ocean in living room area. The balcony door was completely covered by white film so you couldn’t see out to the ocean unless you opened the sliding door. I felt this was a deceptive advertisement and not what we signed up. We wanted oceanview. They couldn’t move us, did not even offer to discount on room but did offer us points. However, my overall experience was not happy with this hotel. The second room pullout sofa was broken and raggedy so didn’t use that. Brought to night person attention he just said there’s nothing wrong the hanging broken piece was normal and didn’t try to fix anything. The hotel appearance was dirty in hallways and there was dog poop in hall left there!! Won’t go back and won’
