Residence Inn by Marriott Upper Marlboro Joint Base Andrews

I've been a Marriott Bonvoy member since 2023 and have had generally very good experiences with this chain. I booked a room at this location back in early January 2026 for a one night stay in March, as we were in town for an event at The Anthem. We arrived at 2:30 for a 3pm check in and were told by front desk that our room wasn't ready yet and that we will be notified as soon as it is. That was perfectly fine since we were early anyway - we just sat in the lobby and waited. A little after 3pm, the desk attendant walked over to us and said the current occupant of our room requested a late check out of 3:30 and it would be an additional 30 mins or so after that to clean it, putting us getting our room around 4pm. I asked if there was another room we could have, smaller/bigger, it didn't mat

I booked this place because the price was great, and location was great. Upon arrival, I found the place to be very clean, and the staff was very nice. My room had a separate bedroom with 2 queens, and a separate living room/kitchen. The rooms and bathroom were very spacious and exceptionally clean which is uncommon these days. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. I noticed that they had free Tesla chargers on site. I have a new GM EV which needs Tesla V3 for it to work, but the idea that they have free chargers is great. I hope they get upgraded so I can use them. The manager sent me an e-mail asking about the stay. She also indicated to contact her direct if I needed to ever book again. In fact, I had to return to the area 6 days later and I contacted her. We had the best experience here! Wr spent the evening here on our way from FL to NY. The hotel is so new, you can smell it!! It is immaculate! The decor is breathtaking. They have a gorgeous white with silver speckled type granite in the kitchen and bathroom vanities. The wall paper was beautiful. The beds were soo comfy and cozy. Lovely spa type shower and gorgeous tile work. As fas as the team workinf there they are rockstars! Absolute sweethearts!! I am a platinum elite member and received a welcome bag with water and treats. It made me feel special and of course my kids loved the goodies! We were given 2 rooms next to each other and one down the hall since i had a double and the other 2 were king. We had a terrible experience at another marriott in GA where they had no rooms for us

Terrible experience…I checked in and at reservations told them I was having guest for a a few hours…the lady Domonique at the front desk said that was fine but can’t stay the night…I checked my account the next day and they charged me an additional $250 saying I had a party and safety reasons. I did not have a party but other people did have a party. And kids in the hallways was smoking weed but I guess that is not a safety hazard! I called to try to resolve things and nothing done!

I've stayed at this hotel twice. The first time I really loved it. It wasn't crowded. It's not far from the city. There's plenty to do in close proximity to the hotel and the service was really good. Some cons: you have to pay for parking. Very weird given it's location. Also, the quality of the room finishes and the housekeeping has degraded over time. My last visit, there were several things in the room that needed to be fixed. Housekeeping made the bed and refilled essentials but there was no real cleaning. I found mold in my bathroom. I was really disappointed because I loved the location and they had the nicest employees. The breakfast was fair. It's common items for a continental breakfast and they keep it well stocked throughout the morning. Also, the laundry is relatively expensive
