I’m a Marriott Elite member of 4 years with roughly 30–40 total night stays, and this was overall a good experience with a few areas for improvement. Check-in was smooth, and I appreciated the complimentary water bottle for being an Elite member (only the second time I’ve received a check-in gift, so it was a nice touch). The room itself was comfortable, though the bathroom tub showed noticeable peeling, as if it had been painted over. A proper refitting or renovation of the tub would go a long way here. There was a noticeable weed smell when first entering the room. I was exhausted after a long day and didn’t request a room change, and the smell did seem to dissipate over time (or I got used to it), but it’s worth mentioning. Was there for business so did not spend much time in the room. The hallways are a bit dated. The front desk staff were so friendly though. Special thanks to Christine who provided a wonderful breakfast for me to start the day and always made sure that I had gluten free items like blueberry muffins. Thanks Christine!!

Most other hotel would not take dogs over 50 lbs. The room size are larger than most other hotels, so that is good. Staff is friendly and professional. Breakfast is the best part - the lady looking after the breakfast area has been wonderful - always greeting guests with a smile and making small talk, always filling up food and cleaning up the area. It is not easy when staff shortage is obvious! Other parts of the hotel has been less impressive - the halls has a slight smell - not sure it is dampness, pet smell or just lack of maintenance. When we checked in our room, we found a kibble and

I found the hotel to be clean and my room was very comfortable. I stayed in the dead of winter and the room stayed nice and toasty. The shower water is nice and hot. The free breakfast every day has waffles, bagels, yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal. The egg section changes every day which is nice. I recommend the frittata.

My favorite hotel in state college. Cozy but sizable rooms with a great layout esp if your sticking around for awhile and need to eat, work and sleep in one place. Nice staff. Unique place.
