Residence Inn by Marriott Seattle South/Renton

I recently reserved a room for my brother and his fiancée for two nights to celebrate Valentine’s Day . What an amazing and incredible experience from start to finish. The front desk agent name Lily Nysta was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and patient . She was efficient and knew exactly what to do. She offered without hesitation to put chocolate and a bottle of champagne in the room . When my brother & his fiancée checked in they were thrilled and so happy. The hotel allowed them to check in early and check out late . The room is spacious and comfortable with a gorgeous view of the lake. When we arrived after 3, only one of our rooms was ready.||Not a huge issue-but the room was not clean. The floors were sticky and there was hair in the bathroom and on the towels.||While waiting for our other room in the one that was||available, housekeeping used the key and entered the room without knocking and seemed confused that we were there. The other room was ready around 4:30 (note check-in time is 3 pm for this property). ||This room was equally dirty with sticky floors, mold in the shower, and a filthy shower curtain. The staff at this hotel is well intentioned but there is an obvious lack of management oversight as they can't provide one of the basic tenets of hospitality- a clean room. My guess is that the hotel stays full due to its location and management sees no need to add

Wonderful clean and spacious place to stay. We were very pleased that they offered a place to stay for both our dog AND cat, which is rare to find! The staff was great meeting our every need and the free breakfast provided was good! GF options were welcome by me being GF sensitive I really appreciated it as well. Seriously the room/hotel felt like a home away from home! I’m in love with the bathroom and wish I could take it with me home. Our only complaint is the lack of compliance on the other residents part who continued to walk maskless in the breakfast/dinning shared space, the lobby and halls and the gym, despite the state wide mandate that requires people to be masked in indoor spaces REGARDLESS of their vaccination status.. and while there was flyers posted everywhere in the hotel

I accidentally left a retainer in my room. I get that finding someone's retainer is super gross. The cleaning staff couldn't find it. (I'm guessing it went into the trash) It's my fault for leaving it, but the absolute we-don't-care from the hotel is a hard pill to swallow. I called five times, twice before the room was cleaned, and left a message with the cleaning staff with no luck in retrieving it. I think the hotel is fine as a standard three start hotel. I'm frustrated with being treated like a dollar that has already been collected and not a customer. It could be such a opportunity to Marriott to say "We see you are a frequent traveler, we want you to like our brand, I'll find a way to get it back to you!" Cardboard between floors. You will hear everything above and below you. If you are ok with that, then good for you. If you like tons, and tons, of noise then this is your place. When you check in, the staff acts like they are doing you a favor. Did I mention the noise? Ah yes, I did. We are Titanium Plus status, and they put us on the bottom floor, below a 300 pound elephant jumping above us constantly. Titanium status does not help you at this hotel.
