Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

We recently stayed 6 nights and had an awesome experience. This hotel is incredibly convenient for Legoland (10 min drive), which was the main purpose of our trip. The room was spacious and clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. A huge shout-out to the staff: we bought a frozen pizza not realizing the room didn't have an oven, and they graciously baked it for us in the hotel's kitchen. Thank you! Housekeeping was offered every other day (but we just needed every 3 days, and it was done nicely). While we didn't get a chance to use the hot tub or pool, they both looked nice! Always a great stay at the Residence Inn. Friendly staff overall especially Michelle at the front desk. Her warm smile makes checking in feel like coming home. Rooms are clean and spacious, complimentary hot breakfast is a plus, and the convenient location in Carlsbad makes the perfect vacation for any or for me - a staycation. Thank you for hosting a calm stay once again.

The hotel was very clean. The only issue is the bedrooms were a little small and there is no house keeping every day. So you will have to make up your bed and take out your own trash. House keeping on 2nd or 3rd day of stay so basically when you check out. Th e food was outstanding and they have many selections for all types of eaters. I just wished they had actual creamers not syrups. Either way I will be staying there again if going that route in our vacation again. Front desk are very nice and helpful. The pool was very clean and jacuzzi was very nice also. Over all a great hotel stay.

We had to leave a Hilton last minute due to a dirty toilet and their refusal to fix the issue. We found this property close enough by and were lucky enough to be able to book for two nights. The lady who answered the phone was so kind and also greeted us warmly when we arrived. The experience was night & day. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm fretting, friendly and quick check in and phenomenal service whenever we asked anything. The buffet breakfast was 5-star level and I’m not exaggerating! They had delicious, freshly made muffins, fantastic potatoes, egg bites to rival anywhere else, fantastic fluffy and light scrambled eggs, non dairy milk options for allergy conscious or vegan individuals. Clean and safe suites with a nice amount of space, including some drawers, etc. a little updating would be good (for example the carpet, but it’s not terrible). I also recommend they install handheld shower sprayer in the showers, like so many Marriott brand hotels have. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offers a variety of healthy options, including gluten free muffins and bread upon request. Breakfast area can get a little rambunctious if there are lots of kids and I wish they didn’t have TVs in there. Pool area is clean and attractive. Quite area, generally. In a research park, but pretty central to many attractions in the area if you have a car.
