Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort

Perfect location in downtown Carlsbad. An easy walk to anything you may possibly need. The Jacuzzi unfortunately, was not heating properly when we were there, so was not able to enjoy. The pool is in the front of the Resort next to a very popular restaurant. It’s not very quiet and not relaxing to set at.  they have a beautiful green lawn that overlooks the ocean with lots of lounging chairs that is decently, quiet and relaxing. The elevator is slow and old, and I preferred to use the stairs.  the king size bed was very comfortable to sleep in.We enjoyed having a little kitchen that we were able to keep leftover food in and reheat .

My family has been coming here for years. Its always a wonderful time and never disappoints. From the location of the resort to the nearby restaurants, you cant go wrong. This year after leaving I forgot a few of my things. Teresa and Lorenza from housekeeping were so kind and gladly took the time to find my things from lost and found. It was such a relief to get those back. Shout out them and a big thank you for great staff and having the cleanest rooms!! 10 out of 10 always.

I loved this place before our current trip. We rent a place here to vacation with family who own a timeshare. After this experience we will never come back. We were initially told they didn’t have a space for us in the timeshare side because they had double booked, so they put us in the hotel. That wasn’t a big deal. However, today we were told we needed to move from our suite into a 2 queen single room. We booked a suite. Now we are in a small single room which isn’t very convenient when you need a space for 7 people to hang out. Management was completely unhelpful and didn’t care. Completely ruined our plans for today. DONT STAY HERE! They absolutely will not help you and will screw up your plans.

The dishwasher gives off a horrible smell. The front door light strobes, we weren’t given enough blankets or pillows. Getting more toilet paper was like pulling teeth. The pull out sofa is horrible we went to Walmart to buy a mattress topper for the bed. The rollaway bed is just a bunch of springs. The room has a damp odor that doesn’t go away unless the fan is always running. The patio looks out into a wall. What does a $30 amenity cover because all the activities cost more money. The washer and dryer suck. One washer just poured water onto the floor and maintenance didn’t do anything when called. 2 of the dryers don’t dry. Why does this cost money anyway. Wouldn’t it be covered under I don’t know a resort fee. There is insufficient handicap parking for a resort that caters to the elderly

Just got back from a 2 night stay and love this place. The staff was so friendly (the check in staff, Yolanda, Eugene in maintenance, and the activity staff). What a beautiful place to come and relax. We loved the low cost/ complimentary activities, the fireplaces at night, and the location with many food options nearby. For anyone looking to escape- I recommend coming here! The beach is steps away and the town has a plethora of restaurants to choose from.
