Carlsbad Seapointe Resort

Excellent ocean view! The facility was clean and service was good. Rooms are a little dated but for the price I think it was fair. Nice amenities with work out center, multiple pools/spas, volleyball, pickleball/tennis court, outside fireplaces. They are trying, that's for sure. Location is just across the 101 to the beach. Very walkable, just a couple of mins. Very accessible which was nice. On the con side, it is a few hundred yards from a Carlsbad waste water treatment center. If the wind is blowing towards the sea...you will notice this. Ugh...is what it is. And there are train tracks just behind the property. And the trains to do run regularly, so if you are a light sleeper, make sure you have some white noise.

Just stayed in room #312 for my wife's 60th birthday. I was very appreciative of the staff booking this room request for me. We have stayed at Seapointe Resort 6 times now and I thought #312 would be a great view, from staying in other rooms, and it was. The ocean views and sunsets from the patio and living room are spectacular! The views from the rooms in the back units are not nearly as good. Wish we could stay there every time. The property itself is maintained well. And we enjoy the adult pool, but it is a bit chilly... We were there in Jan though, so... Haha.

The excellent hotel staff made this getaway trip for me and my 85 year old mother very enjoyable and comforting. The entire hotel staff was friendly, kind, helpful, warm and welcomed us and all guests like family. |Worth mention, Michael at the front desk was extremely sweet and caring. Even before our stay, I had called the resort the week before trying to finalize which GPX resort location to make the reservation. Michael was the one who had answered and patiently answered all my questions about the resort and helped with comparison of the two resorts I was considering. He was kind, respectful and extremely patient and part of the reason I decided to reserve a stay at Seapointe Carlsbad was because of the telephone exchange with Michael.||I was pleased to meet Michael in person during

Overall, I would stay here again — it was a great value and we really enjoyed our stay! We arrived before check-in time and were pleasantly surprised that our room was already ready, which allowed us to get in a few hours early. Upon walking in, the condo smelled clean and fresh. The space is essentially like a small apartment, which makes it especially suitable for extended stays. The living area was cozy. The fireplace was a really nice touch, and the balcony had an ocean view with outdoor patio furniture provided. The couch was surprisingly comfortable. The only issue we had in the living area was that we couldn’t get the ceiling fan to work. The kitchen was great.
